I Left My Job At Publicis

Days since my last post: 6

Hello blog space and whoever is reading! I suppose by now you'd be bored with one too many Staycay Series posts which is why I'm here to do a life update. While one of the reasons is so I could put a break in between all the staycation adventures I've been having, another is truly because I wanted to be able to look back 10 or 20 years from now and be reminded of this day. That is... if blogs are still alive.

15/12/2014 - 17/05/2017

And so here I am to say, today I served my final day of service with Publicis Malaysia. It's been a crazy ride thus far and through these 2 and a half years I've been there, I've found myself to grow so much. Mentally... and physically. Really, I'm at the heaviest of my life at this point. But really that's not to be talked about here.

My journey began all the way by the end of 2014 after being retrenched for about 4 months and when the opportunity came by, I just jumped right into it. I was a zero at what I was doing, but promised my new colleagues the world. Google became my best friend if it weren't already back in my college days, but I found myself learning so much more than I've ever expected in this career path.

Alongside leaving my job however, I also left my friends behind and as much as I hate to admit it, I know we'll drift apart just that little bit after this... or a lot anyway. Whatever it is though, I'm sure life will take me on its way. One thing for sure, Publicis led me to one good thing.

I met my forever other half.

And with that, I bid adieu to yet another chapter in life. Thank you for the memories, Publicis. It's been a fantastic ride on this roller coaster of an advertising life, and while I don't know when I'll be back, I'm glad I was once here.
